How do I install a Honeywell GSMV4G on my VISTA-15P?
There are three parts to the installation of a GSMV4G on a VISTA-15P security system.
First, you need to mount the GSMV4G on the wall. Typically, we recommend mounting it near your VISTA-15P alarm cabinet box so that you don't have to run your wire connections through your home. However, if there isn't sufficient cellular signal strength next to the VISTA-15P control panel, mount your GSMV4G where you do have a good cellular signal. To mount the device on the wall, simply press in the tabs at the bottom of the cellular communicator and remove the plastic cover. Use the included screws and wall anchors to mount the GSMV4G on the wall.
Once you have your cellular alarm communicator fixed to the wall, you need to make a four wire connection between the alarm control panel and the GSMV4G. Connect one wire between Terminal 3 on the GSMV4G and Terminal 5 on the VISTA-15P. Connect another wire between Terminal 4 on the GSMV4G and Terminal 4 on the VISTA-15P. Next, connect a wire from Terminal 5 on the GSMV4G to Terminal 7 on the VISTA-15P. Finally, connect a wire between Terminal 6 on the GSMV4G and Terminal 6 on the Vista-15P.
After completing the ECP connections, you will need to connect the included transformer to Terminals 1 and 2 on the GSMV4G. Use a two conductor wire to connect the two screw terminals on the transformer to the AC terminals on the GSMV4G which are Terminals 1 and 2. Finally, to complete the installation, connect the included backup battery to the charging circuit of the GMSV4G and put the plastic cover back on.
Now that your GSMV4G is successfully installed on your VISTA-15P security system, choose an AlarmNet alarm monitoring plan as the GSMV4G won't work until you activate it with your alarm monitoring company.
