How many key fobs can I add to the Honeywell L5100?

The Honeywell Lynx Touch L5100 is a wireless alarm system that can support as many wireless key fobs as there are available wireless zones. The Lynx Touch supports up to 63 wireless zones (zones 2 - 64). Zones 2 - 48 are Supervised/Unsupervised Protection zones. Zones 49 - 64 are designated for RF key fobs ONLY. If zones 49 - 64 are in use, you can not assign additional key fobs to unused zones under 49. Essentially you you are limited to a total of 16 RF key fob zones.

It is important to keep in mind that each button on a key fob is designated to its own wireless zone on the panel. For example, the Honeywell 5834-4 wireless 4 button key fob will take up 4 zones if all 4 buttons are programmed. Each function (i.e. arm away, arm stay, disarm, panic) is mapped to a specific button. There is a great feature that Sterling will show you below that allows you to auto enroll the key fob. This feature maps each button to the appropriate function so the icons on those buttons match up. Watch and learn:
