What Are The Dimensions Of The Screen On The 2GIG GC3?
The 2GIG GC3 large 7 inch touchscreen is easier to read and use the gesture based icons. On the left side of the touchscreen, there are Arm Stay and Arm Away icons. The Arm Stay icon shows a house with a man figure inside which symbolizes someone being home - “inside the house”. The Arm Away icon shows a house with an arrow inside and a man figure walking outside away from the house - symbolizing someone leaving the home. Users do not need to use a code to arm the system in either the stay or away mode, but a user code is required to disarm the system.
To the right of the touchscreen on the 2GIG GC3 panel, there are 2 circular buttons. The top circle with a plus sign symbol inside and one below it with a square inside.
The top circle with the plus sign is the Emergency Button. Pressing this button will pull up a screen for Panic, Fire and Medical Emergencies. A user will need to press and continue to hold down the Panic, Fire or Emergency button for 2 Seconds to send the corresponding emergency signal to a central monitoring station. The alarm system does not need to be in the armed mode for the emergency buttons to work.
The circle with the square inside is the Home Button. Users press this button to wake up the touchscreen and return to the home screen. The touchscreen will go to sleep if not used for 1 minute.
Once the touchscreen is awake, users can view the time and date directly from the home screen. Users can also view local weather with an active Alarm.com account.
Alarm.com allows user to remotely control an alarm system, home automation and video surveillance from any computer, smart phone and/or iOS device. Users can receive notifications via email and/or text message on any alarm system signal or event.
The 2GIG GC3 also has icons to enter system settings, control home automation and retrieve history and usage information.
