What Do the Lights Mean on a Honeywell iGSMV4G?

Each light has its own meaning on a Honeywell iGSMV4G. The green LED light displays the system's current status. The yellow LED indicates message transmissions with the AlarmNet Servers. The red LED light means that there is currently a communication fault between the panel and the network.

The Honeywell iGSMV4G is a dual-path communicator that provides both cellular and IP connectivity for a Honeywell VISTA Alarm System. The module allows the system to connect to the internet using a hardwired ethernet connection. If the internet goes down, the system will automatically switch to a cellular backup. The iGSMV4G connects with the AT&T 4G Network for fast and reliable services.

This dual-path connectivity helps ensure that the VISTA System will remain constantly connected with the AlarmNet servers operated by Resideo (formerly Honeywell). With the system communicating properly with AlarmNet, you will be able to use Total Connect 2.0 to control the system. This service can be accessed from virtually anywhere using a web browser or the Total Connect 2.0 Mobile App.

There are three lights on the iGSMV4G, and each one serves a specific purpose. When the module is operating normally, only the yellow LED light will be illuminated, and it will have a fast periodic blink. A solid green LED light means that the system is not currently registered with AlarmNet. A blinking green LED light means that the system is either downloading information from Compass (a service used with AlarmNet) or currently being registered. A solid red LED light means that the system is not connected with the network. A blinking red LED light indicates that the module is currently experiencing communication issues.
