Will Interlogix/GE Sensors Work on a Qolsys IQ Panel 2?

Yes, Interlogix/GE Sensors will work on a Qolsys IQ Panel 2, at least in most cases. The original IQ Panel 2 is designed to work with sensors that operate at a wireless frequency of 319.5 MHz. Most Interlogix and GE Sensors operate at this frequency, and they can be learned in with the IQ2.

Please note that only Interlogix and GE Sensors that operate at the 319.5 MHz wireless frequency will work with the original Qolsys IQ Panel 2 or the 319.5 MHz Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. There are some rare Interlogix and GE Sensors that do not operate at the 319.5 MHz wireless frequency, and they instead operate at some other wireless frequency. Those sensors cannot be used with the Qolsys IQ Panel 2. It is also important to note that the traditional 319.5 MHz Interlogix and GE Sensors cannot be used with the 345 MHz IQ Panel 2 Plus or the 433 MHz IQ Panel 2 Plus, as those systems don't support the 319.5 MHz frequency.

There are several options when choosing wireless sensors for the original Qolsys IQ Panel 2. The 319.5 MHz wireless sensors from Interlogix and GE are just one of these options. These sensors can be auto-enrolled with the system by putting it in its enrollment mode and activating the sensor's cover tamper. Today, these sensors are sold under the Interlogix brand name. But for many years, they were sold under the GE banner. Both names mostly refer to same 319.5 MHz wireless sensors, and they should all work with the original IQ Panel 2 System, as well as the 319.5 MHz IQ Panel 2 Plus.

Qolsys also produces their own lineup of 319.5 MHz sensors. They are all compatible with the IQ Panel 2. The Qolsys Sensors includes their flagship S-Line Series. The S-Line Sensors are fully protected by rolling code encryption, and they are designed for use with the IQ Panel 2. However, the encrypted Qolsys S-Line Sensors will technically work the Interlogix Panels, but the encryption feature will not be enabled when they are used with these systems. Learning in new sensors with the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 is very simple. From the home screen, press the small grey button at the top. Then choose "Settings", followed by "Advanced Settings". Enter in the Installer Code (default is 1111), and then choose "Installation". Then select "Devices", followed by "Security Sensors", and then "Auto Learn Sensor". You can then activate the sensor's tamper switch to learn it in with the system. From there, you will be able to adjust the settings for the sensor. Press "Add New" when finished. Then press the picture of the house at the bottom of the screen to return to main screen.
