Can a Honeywell alarm system be self-monitored?

We often have customers ask us if their Honeywell system can be self-monitored and not use a central station.

If you're looking to use Total Connect and have your Honeywell alarm system notify you via text message or email, you're still going to need a third party monitoring service, even if you don't want a central station monitoring you.

The Honeywell system is not capable to contacting the outside world without a third party service. Most companies, however, do not offer the Total Connect service without central station monitoring.

For that reason, Alarm Grid created a self monitoring plan for power users that want Total Connect 2.0 without the added expense of a central station.
