How Do I Add a 2GIG Flood and Temp Sensor to the IQ5 NS?
To add a 2GIG flood and temp sensor to the IQ5 NS, install the IQ QC0005-840 345 MHz daughter card first. Open the IQ Installer app and connect to the panel. The FT100-345 supports two zones — Loop 1 for flood detection and Loop 2 for temperature alerts. Enroll each loop separately.
About the 2GIG-FT100-345
The IQ5 NS (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) is a screenless security system panel compatible with the 2GIG-FT100-345 flood and temperature sensor. The IQ QC0005-840 345 MHz daughter card must be installed before enrollment. All enrollment is done through the IQ Installer app. The FT100-345 has two inputs — Loop 1 for flood detection and Loop 2 for temperature monitoring — programmed as two independent sensor zones. Each loop is enrolled as a separate Auto Learn session.
For flood, use Group 38 (Water Sensor) to report to the central station, or Group 25 for local alert only. For temperature, use Group 52 (Low Temp) or Group 53 (High Temp). Both zones are always active. With a monitoring plan, alerts reach the central station for notification.
Step 1: Enroll Loop 1 — Flood Detection
1. Open the IQ Installer app and connect to the IQ5 NS panel. The Configuration menu opens.

2. Navigate to Installation, Devices, Security Sensors, select Auto Learn Sensor, and touch Start Autolearn. The panel enters listening mode.

3. Press the tamper button on the FT100-345. The app displays the DL ID. Source shows SRF345.
4. Set Loop to 1, Sensor Type to Environmental, choose Group 38 or 25, add a name, and touch Save. Group 38 reports water to the central station. Group 25 is local alert only. Name it like Laundry Flood or Under Sink and touch Save.

Step 2: Enroll Loop 2 — Temperature Alert
1. Return to Auto Learn Sensor, touch Start Autolearn, and press the tamper button again. The app detects the same DL ID and opens the configuration screen.
2. Set Loop to 2, Sensor Type to Environmental, choose Group 52 or 53, add a name, and touch Save. Group 52 (Low Temp) triggers on cold. Group 53 (High Temp) triggers on heat. Name it like Garage Temp or Attic Temp and touch Save.
After Adding the Sensor
Test the flood zone by briefly shorting the metal probe contacts on the base of the unit. Place the sensor flat on the floor with probes facing down. Both zones are always active. Add a monitoring plan so flood and temperature alerts reach the central station when you are away.
Adding the 2GIG-FT100-345 to your IQ5 NS gives you wireless flood and temperature monitoring using two independent sensor zones managed through the IQ Installer app on the IQ5 NS.
