How Do I Add a 2GIG Recessed Door Contact to the IQ Panel 5?

To add a 2GIG recessed door contact to the IQ Panel 5, install the IQ QC0005-840 345 MHz daughter card first. Go to Advanced Settings, Installation, Devices, Security Sensors, touch Auto Learn, open the door to trip the DWR100-345, set Sensor Type to Door/Window, and choose a Sensor Group.

About the 2GIG-DWR100-345

The IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) is compatible with the 2GIG-DWR100-345 recessed door/window contact, a 345 MHz wireless sensor that installs flush inside the door frame and door edge with no visible hardware when the door is closed. Because it operates on the 345 MHz frequency, the IQ QC0005-840 345 MHz daughter card must be installed before enrollment. The sensor transmitter mounts inside a hole drilled into the door frame, and the magnet mounts in a matching hole in the door itself. When the door opens, the magnet separates from the sensor and triggers a signal.

The Sensor Group determines how the contact behaves when the security system is armed. Group 10 (Entry-Exit Normal Delay) gives you time to disarm after entering — use this for a main entry door. Group 12 (Entry-Exit Long Delay) provides a longer delay for garage entries. Group 13 (Instant Perimeter D/W) triggers an alarm instantly — use this for any door that should never open while armed. All 345 MHz door contacts use Loop 1 only.

Steps to Add the Recessed Door Contact

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch Settings. The Settings page opens.

4. Touch Auto Learn Sensor. The panel enters listening mode and waits for a 345 MHz signal.

5. Open the door where the DWR100-345 is installed. Separating the magnet from the sensor transmitter sends a 345 MHz signal. The panel chimes and displays the DL ID. Source shows SRF345. Leave Loop at Loop 1 — the only option for 345 MHz door contacts.

6. Touch OK to confirm the sensor. The sensor configuration screen appears.

7. Set the Sensor Type to Door/Window, choose a Sensor Group and Name, then touch Add New. Use Group 10 for a main entry door, Group 12 for a longer-delay entry, or Group 13 for a door that should trigger an instant alarm. Enter a name such as Front Door or Side Entry and touch Add New.

After Adding the Sensor

After enrollment, test the sensor by opening and closing the door and confirming the panel responds correctly. The DWR100-345 is supervised — if communication is lost, a trouble condition is generated. With a monitoring plan, every door opening event is reported to the central station when the system is armed. The recessed form factor keeps the installation clean with no visible hardware, making it ideal for doors where appearance matters. Expand your perimeter coverage with additional sensors at every entry point.

Adding the 2GIG-DWR100-345 to your IQ Panel 5 gives you invisible wireless door protection with a flush recessed installation on the IQ Panel 5.
