How Do I Change the AC Delay Notification on the IQ5 Hub?
To change the AC Delay Notification on the IQ5 Hub, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and then enter your own Installer Code. Next, touch Installation, then Installer Settings, and then set the AC Delay Notification time, which first requires that EN Grade 2 is enabled.
About the AC Delay Notification
The AC Delay Notification on the IQ5 Hub (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) sets how long the panel waits during a power loss before reporting an AC power failure to Alarm.com. It exists so a brief power blip, a momentary surge, or a quick grid interruption does not immediately send a trouble notification. The panel runs on its backup battery during the delay, and only if AC is still missing when the timer expires does your security system report the AC off event.
You can set the delay to 1, 5, 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes, and it is 60 minutes by default. The important catch is that this setting only applies to EN Grade 2 systems, a European compliance standard, so it is greyed out and not selectable unless EN Grade 2 is enabled on the panel. If yours appears greyed out, that is why: the panel is not in EN Grade 2 mode, which is normal for a standard US installation.
Before You Begin
The AC Delay Notification is in the Installer Settings, which require the Installer Code (1111 by default) or Dealer Code (2222 by default). The steps below use the Installer Code. Because the setting is tied to EN Grade 2, you must enable EN Grade 2 on the IQ5 Hub first for the option to become selectable. EN Grade 2 is a European standard, so most US systems will leave this setting greyed out and simply report AC loss on the standard schedule.

Tips
If the AC Delay Notification is greyed out, the fix is to enable EN Grade 2 first, since the setting is only available in that mode. A longer delay like the 60-minute default is good for areas with frequent brief outages, since it avoids a flood of AC trouble notifications, while a shorter delay reports a genuine outage sooner. Remember the panel stays powered by its backup battery during the delay, so your protection is not interrupted while the timer runs.
