How Do I Find the IP Address of the IQ5 Hub Alarm System?
To find the IP address of the IQ5 Hub, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and enter your Installer Code. Next, touch About and scroll to the Wi-Fi Information section, where the IP Address is listed. The panel shows an IP address only while it is connected to your WIFI.
What the IP Address Is For
The IQ5 Hub (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) is assigned an IP address by your router when it connects to WIFI. The IP address is how other devices on your home network find and communicate with the panel, and you may need it when reserving an address for the panel on your router or troubleshooting a network connection. It is listed on the panel's About page under Wi-Fi Information.
Unlike the panel's MAC address, which never changes, the IP address is assigned by your router and can change over time or when the panel reconnects. Looking it up is a quick, view-only task that changes nothing on your security system. If you also need the fixed hardware identifier, see our guide on how to find the MAC address of the IQ5 Hub, which is on the same About page.
Before You Begin
The About page sits in Advanced Settings, which you can reach with any of your codes: the Installer Code (1111 by default), Master Code (1234 by default), or Dealer Code (2222 by default). The steps below use the Installer Code. The panel only has an IP address while it is connected to WIFI, so if the field is blank, confirm the panel is on your wireless network first.

Tips
Because the IP address is handed out by your router, it can change when the panel reconnects or the router restarts. If you need the panel to keep the same address, set up a DHCP reservation on your router using the panel's MAC address, which pins that IP to the panel. If the IP Address field is blank, the panel is not connected to WIFI, so check your wireless connection first. Keep in mind this is the local network address and is not how the panel reaches the monitoring station, which it does over its cellular and WIFI paths.
Finding the IP address of the IQ5 Hub gives you the local network detail you need for router setup and troubleshooting.
