How Do I See the Software Version on the IQ5 Hub System?
To see what software version your IQ5 Hub is running, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and enter your code. Next, touch About and then find the Software section, where the current Software Version is listed, along with the build number and other software version details.
Why the Software Version Matters
The IQ5 Hub (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) receives periodic software updates that add features, improve stability, and support new devices. Knowing which version your panel is running is helpful when a support agent asks, when you are checking whether a new update has installed, or when you are confirming your security system is current. The version is listed on the panel's About page under the Software section.
Alongside the main Software Version, the panel lists a build number and the underlying Linux and Android versions, which support may ask for when troubleshooting. Checking the version is a quick, view-only task that changes nothing on the panel. It is the same About page that shows other panel details like the serial number and the MAC address.
Before You Begin
The About page sits in Advanced Settings, which you can reach with any of your codes: the Master Code (1234 by default), Installer Code (1111 by default), or Dealer Code (2222 by default). The steps below use the Master Code. You do not need to be connected to WIFI to view the software version, since it is stored on the panel itself.

Tips
The IQ5 Hub normally updates its software automatically over WIFI or cellular, so most of the time you do not need to do anything to stay current. Checking the version is a good first step when troubleshooting, since a support agent can tell you whether your panel is up to date or a known issue was fixed in a later release. If your panel is behind, keeping it connected to WIFI gives it the best chance to download and install the latest update on its own.
Seeing the software version on the IQ5 Hub helps you confirm your panel is current and gives support the detail they need.
