How Many Protection Zones Does A 2GIG GC3 Have?
The 2GIG GC3 supports a total of 102 zones, 2 hardwired zones and 100 wireless zones.
A wireless smoke detector and heat detector can be programmed to a 24 hour Fire sensor type. When programmed to this type, the smoke detector and heat detector will trigger the siren to sound weather the system is armed or disarmed. Users can also program a smoke detector and heat detector to 24 hour Fire verification. Programming it to this sensor type will also sound the siren weather the panel is armed or disarmed, but the detector needs verification before sounding. This means the smoke detector must be triggered twice within 2 minutes or remain violated for 30 seconds. Or if another smoke detector is triggered within 2 minutes of the first smoke detector, both will sound the alarm. Users will not be able to bypass a smoke detector or heat detector if it is programmed as a 24 hour Fire sensor type or to a 24 hour Fire verification type.
Wireless carbon monoxide detectors should be programmed to 24 hour Carbon Monoxide sensor type. This enables the device to always be active and will sound an alarm weather the panel is armed or disarmed. Carbon Monoxide detectors cannot be bypassed.
Wireless motion detectors are usually programmed to Interior Follower. The motion detector will activate after the system is armed in the Away mode and the exit delay timing is completed. The motion detector will always be bypassed when the alarm system is armed in the Stay mode. This allows users to be able to walk around without triggering the motion detector.
The 2GIG GC 3 also has 32 key fob zones.
