Frequently Asked Questions
Can an L5000, L5100, L5200, L5210 or L7000 Work Together?
All of the Honeywell Lynx Touch panels are independent systems that are not designed to work with one another. If a user is looking to add an additional access point for their Lynx Touch panel, they can use a 5828 Keypad. This will give them a secondary location for arming and disarming their panel.
Does the Skybell Work with the L5210 or L7000?
A Skybell Camera does not connect with a one's security panel. Rather, it is integrated into a user's security setup through Total Connect or Alarm.com. The user must have the Skybell feature enabled on their TC or ADC account. The camera can then be linked with the account using the respective app.
How does a Honeywell 5800PIR Work?
By using passive infrared (PIR) technology, the 5800PIR is able to detect the presence of intruders. The device is activated whenever a change in infrared energy is detected, signaling that an intruder is present. The pulse count of the 5800PIR can also be changed in order to adjust its sensitivity.
What is the Difference Between an Installer Code & User Code on a Lyric Security System?
A user code on a Lyric security system is used for arming and disarming the panel, while the installer code is used for gaining access to system programming. The installer code can also be used to arm the panel. However, the installer code can only disarm the panel if it was the code used to arm it.
How do I Enroll a Sensor on my LYNX L5210, L7000 or Lyric?
Enrolling a sensor on a Honeywell LYNX Touch or Lyric Controller can be done by accessing Zone Programming and then auto-enrolling the sensor with the panel.
What Panels Does a GSMX4G Radio Work With?
A GSMX4G cellular communicator is designed for use with Honeywell VISTA panels, as well as the LYNX Plus L3000 system. The GSMX4G will provide the system with a 4G cellular connection using the AT&T cellular service, and it is fully compatible with the Total Connect 2.0 service provided by AlarmNet.
Do I Need a 5881ENH on My VISTA Security System?
A VISTA security system will not require a 5881ENH, or any other type of wireless receiver, if only hard-wired sensors are going to be used with the panel.
What Is a Security Door Contact?
When attached to a door, a security contact will let the system know when the door has been opened. Both wireless and wired door contacts are available.
How Many 5881s Can I Hook Up to My VISTA Wired Security System?
The Vista P series panels support only 1 wireless receiver. The standalone receivers come in three capacities, Low, Medium, and High. A Low receiver supports up to 8 zones, Medium supports up to 16, and High supports as many as the panel will allow. Choose your receiver based on the zones needed.
