Honeywell 6280 Keypad vs. Tuxedo Touch Keypad?

The 6280 and the Honeywell Tuxedo are both Advanced User Interface (AUI) keypads that pair with Honeywell's Vista series panels, except for the VISTA 10P which is not capable of supporting AUI keypads.

While neither of these keypads are very useful for programming (you should have a 6160 for that), and while they both allow useful control of the Honeywell VISTA panels security functions, the TUX comes with a pre-installed Z-Wave communicator that makes the Tuxedo Touch a Z-Wave controller. For those interested in taking advantage of all that a smart home can offer, the Tux is a great choice. But if all you're looking for is a good looking touchscreen keypad to control your security system, the 6280 is the perfect choice.

Does the 6280 have wifi? If it does, I can't see why it cannot connect to the VAM.
The 6280 is simply a touchscreen keypad and has no Z-Wave home automation control functions on the unit. You'll need to use your Ipad, a Tuxedo Touch or a mobile device running Total Connect 2.0 to interact with your Z-Wave devices.
I currently have a VAM module and 6150 keypads. Will upgrading to a 6280 allow the VAM's features to be used in conjunction with the keypad (meaning no more ipad)?
