Where Do Disarm Photos Appear on the IQ5 Hub Camera Page?
Disarm photos on the IQ5 Hub are saved to the Camera page under the ARM/DISARM section. When the panel is disarmed, the built-in 13 MP PortraitView camera takes a photo and stores it with the username, date, and time of the event. You can also send these photos to your phone via Alarm.com.
Where Disarm Photos Are Stored
Disarm photos are stored locally on the IQ5 Hub (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) in the Camera page, which is accessible by swiping left from the home screen. Within the Camera page, touch the ARM/DISARM tab to filter the list to disarm events only. Each entry shows a thumbnail, the username associated with the code used to disarm, the date, and the time. Touch a thumbnail on the right to view the full photo on the left side of the screen.
The Camera page also has SETTINGS and ALARMS tabs. The SETTINGS tab stores photos taken when someone attempts to access panel settings with an invalid code. The ALARMS tab stores photos taken when an alarm event is triggered. Selecting ALL shows every captured photo across all three categories in chronological order.
Viewing Disarm Photos Full Screen
To view a disarm photo in full screen, touch the photo preview on the left side of the Camera page. The photo expands to fill the display. Touch it again to return to the Camera page. While in full-screen view, swipe left or right to browse through additional captured photos without returning to the thumbnail list.
What Triggers a Disarm Photo
The IQ5 Hub takes a disarm photo each time the panel is disarmed manually using a user code on the touchscreen. The photo is captured automatically by the built-in camera and saved immediately. Disarm photos are enabled by default and can be toggled off in the Camera Settings menu under Advanced Settings using the Installer Code (default 1111) or Dealer Code.
Remote disarming through the Alarm.com app does not trigger a disarm photo on the panel. The built-in camera only captures a photo during a manual on-panel disarm event. If you need a visual record of remote disarms, Alarm.com activity logs track all remote arm and disarm events with timestamps.
Deleting Disarm Photos
Each photo entry on the Camera page has a trash icon on the right side. By default, Secure Delete Images is enabled, which means a Master Code (default 1234) is required to delete disarm and alarm photos. This prevents unauthorized deletion of security records. A Dealer or Installer can disable Secure Delete Images in Camera Settings if unrestricted deletion is preferred.
Sending Disarm Photos to Your Phone
The IQ5 Hub can send disarm photos to your smartphone through Alarm.com. Log in to your Alarm.com account, click the Images tab, then click Rules and Alerts, and configure a "Capture Alarm and Disarm Images" rule. This requires an active monitoring plan with Alarm.com access. Once configured, disarm photos are forwarded to your phone each time the panel is disarmed on-site.
Camera Settings That Affect Disarm Photos
Several Camera Settings under Advanced Settings control disarm photo behavior on the IQ5 Hub. The Panel Camera toggle must be enabled for any photo capture to occur. The Disarm Photos toggle enables or disables capture on each disarm. Secure Delete Images requires a Master Code to delete photos. Access Camera Settings by swiping down from the top of the screen, touching Settings, touching Advanced Settings, and entering the Installer Code (1111) or Dealer Code. The IQ5 Hub supports PowerG sensors for encrypted wireless communication and is part of the Qolsys IQ Panel 5 security system family.
