Resideo IP-COM
Advanced Modular Internet Communicator
Description
The Resideo IP-COM is an internet-only communicator that supports Total Connect 2.0 (TC2) remote services. It connects to the internet via an ethernet connection. The IP-COM joins the LTEM-P line of communicators that support modular upgrades. Available modules must be purchased separately and they are the PROWIFIZW, PROWIFI, and the PRODCM.
The IP-COM wires to the compatible Honeywell or Resideo alarm panel. It comes with a wiring harness that only requires a connection of three (3) wires. The IP-COM also has the ability to support Total Connect 2.0 (TC2) services with Honeywell/Resideo panels, and also, DSC and Interlogix panels. For the DSC line, the DSC PC1616, PC1832, and PC1864 panels are supported. In the Interlogix/GE line, the NX-8, NX-8V2, NX-6V2, and NX-4V2 panels are supported. With the Interlogix panels, it requires the use of the PRODCM Dialer Capture Module. The IP-COM can serve as a universal communicator for alarm reporting. The IP-COM is compatible with any alarm panel using Contact ID, by using the PRODCM.
The IP-COM is an AlarmNet 360 (AN360) communicator. It only sends signals to AlarmNet via the internet. Use this communicator with a VISTA-15P, 20P or 21iP panel and dealers have the ability to completely program the panel from AN360. This includes programming zones, users, and schedules. All from the convenience of a computer or by using the AN360 Mobile App. AN360 is not available for homeowners, it is a dealer-only tool. It can decrease the time it takes to setup or make changes to your account.
The IP-COM can be modular upgraded. Use the PROWIFI module to use WIFI instead of the standard ethernet connection. Use the PROWIFIZW module to add WIFI and a Z-Wave automation controller. Then have the ability to add Z-Wave lights, locks, thermostats, and more. See the Z-wave compatibility list for supported devices. Theses WIFI modules only support the 2.4 GHz WIFI networks only. The ProSeries WIFI devices do not support 5 GHz WIFI networks. Please also note that it is not possible to use both a wired ethernet connection and a ProSeries WIFI Module simultaneously with the Honeywell IP-COM. Use of only one of these compatible internet options is possible, at any given time.
If you like the IP-COM, but you decide you want to have an LTE cellular integrated as a backup method, then there are options. The LTEM-PXA adds an AT&T LTE cellular and the LTEM-PXV add a Verizon LTE cellular connection. These are in addition to the ethernet or WIFI internet options.
