How Do I Add a 2GIG-DW100-345 Contact Sensor to a GC Touch?
You can add a 2GIG-DW100-345 door/window contact sensor to a 2GIG GC Touch panel through the Sensor Settings menu. The panel offers Quick Add for automatic enrollment or Manual Add for entering sensor details directly. The Installer Code is required to access sensor settings in programming.
The 2GIG-DW100-345 is a wireless indoor door and window contact sensor designed for 345 MHz security systems. This sensor transmits signals to the 2GIG GC Touch panel, (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE versions). The DW100-345 includes a cover tamper switch for additional security and supports both encrypted and non-encrypted communication modes.
Steps to Add the Sensor
- Disarm the system. The panel must be in disarmed mode to access Settings.
- Tap the Settings icon (⚙). The gear icon is located in the top-right corner of the home screen.
- Enter Installer Settings. Enter the Installer Code when prompted, then tap Enter (↵). The default Installer Code is 1561. This opens the Installer Settings menu with access to Sensor Settings.
- Tap Sensor Settings. This option appears in the second row of the Installer Settings menu.
- Tap Quick Add. Quick Add automatically learns the sensor by listening for its signal. This is the fastest way to enroll the DW100-345.
- Trigger the sensor. Pull the battery tab to power on a DW100-345, or open and close the door or window where the sensor is installed. The panel will detect the signal and display the TXID.
- Select your sensor TXID and tap Next. The seven-digit TXID is printed on the sensor housing. Match it to the list to ensure you select the correct device.
- Configure the zone settings. Select the SKU/Device ID as "2GIG-DW100-345" from the dropdown. Set Sensor Class to "Unencrypted Sensor" (default) or "eSeries Sensor (encrypted)" if you enabled encryption mode on the sensor. For entry doors, use Group 01 (Entry/Exit 1). For windows and perimeter doors, use Group 03 (Perimeter).
- Enter a zone name and tap Save. Type a descriptive name like "Front Door" or "Bedroom Window" to easily identify the sensor in alerts and event logs.
Using Manual Add
If Quick Add does not detect your sensor, you can use Manual Add instead. From Sensor Settings, tap an empty zone and select Manual Add. Set the Device Type to "General Device" and choose the appropriate Sensor Class based on your encryption setting. Once you enter programming for the selected zone number, tap the Learn button to have the panel scan for the sensor, or manually enter the seven-digit TXID printed on the device. Complete the configuration by selecting the SKU/Device ID, Loop Type, and Group settings before tapping Save.
