How Do I Add a 2GIG Glass Break Detector to the IQ5 NS?
To add a 2GIG glass break detector to the IQ5 NS, install the IQ QC0005-840 daughter card first. Open the IQ Installer app and connect to the panel. Go to Installation, Devices, Security Sensors, select Auto Learn Sensor, touch Start Autolearn, and press the test button on the GB100-345.
Before You Begin
The IQ5 NS (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) is a screenless security system panel with no built-in glass break detector. The 2GIG-GB100-345 is a 345 MHz wireless glass break detector that provides coverage for rooms with windows and glass doors. The IQ QC0005-840 345 MHz daughter card must be installed before enrollment. All enrollment is done through the IQ Installer app.
Group 13 (Glass Break) is active in both Stay and Away modes. Group 17 (Glass Break Away Only) is active in Away mode only. All 345 MHz glass break sensors use Loop 1 only. With a monitoring plan, glass break events are reported to the central station for emergency dispatch.
Steps to Add the Glass Break Detector
1. Open the IQ Installer app and connect to the IQ5 NS panel. The Configuration menu opens in the app.

5. Touch OK, set Sensor Type to Glass Break, choose a Sensor Group and Name, then touch Save. Use Group 13 for Stay and Away protection, or Group 17 for Away only. Enter a name like Bedroom Windows or Back Door Glass and touch Save.

Placement and Testing
Mount the GB100-345 on the ceiling or wall within detection range of the windows it covers — typically up to 25 feet. Test by pressing and holding the test button until the panel responds with a glass break alarm. Add a monitoring plan for central station dispatch and cover every glazed entry point in the home with additional detectors.
