Opening the Settings Tray

1. Swipe down from the top. Place your finger on the gray bar at the very top edge of the screen above where the time and date are displayed, then drag downward. The settings tray slides down into view from the top of the screen.
2. View the settings tray. The tray displays status icons for battery, WIFI, Bluetooth, and cellular connection at the top right. Below these icons you will find sliders for volume and brightness adjustment along with quick access buttons for Settings, Messages/Alerts, Photo Frame, clean screen, and a language toggle option.

Settings Tray Features

The settings tray on the IQ Panel 5 includes several useful controls:

• Volume Slider: The slider adjusts the panel voice and chime volume.
• Brightness Slider: This slider controls screen brightness for comfortable viewing.
• Settings Button: Tap this button to access the full Settings page. From here you can reach the Advanced Settings menu by tapping Advanced Settings and entering your Master Code (1234 by default) or Installer Code (1111 by default).
• Clean Screen Button: Pressing this button disables the touchscreen for 30 seconds so you can wipe the display without triggering accidental responses.

Additional Tray Options

The settings tray also provides access to the Message Center where you can view alerts, contact your monitoring provider, and watch video tutorials. The Photo Frame button lets you customize the panel screensaver with your own photos. A Language button allows you to change the panel language. The Security Status icon in the upper left corner shows your current armed state and returns you to the main security page. To close the tray, simply swipe up from the bottom of the tray or touch anywhere outside the tray area.
