How Do I Open the Settings Tray on the Qolsys IQ5 Hub?

To open the settings tray on the Qolsys IQ5 Hub, swipe down from the top of the touchscreen. The settings tray appears with quick access controls for volume, brightness, WIFI status, and more. This tray provides convenient shortcuts without navigating through the full settings menu screens.

Opening the Settings Tray

1. Swipe down from the top. Place your finger at the very top edge of the screen, just above where the time and date are displayed, then drag downward. The settings tray slides into view from the top of the screen.
2. View the settings. The tray displays status icons for battery, WIFI, Bluetooth, and cellular connection at the top. Below these icons, you will find sliders for volume and brightness adjustment, along with other quick access buttons.

Settings Tray Features

The settings tray on the IQ5 Hub includes several useful controls:

• Volume Slider: This slider allows you to adjust the overall panel voice and chime volume. Slide left to lower the volume and right to increase the volume.
• Brightness Slider: Control screen brightness for comfortable viewing. Sliding left reduces brightness, while sliding right increases it.
• Settings Button: Settings allows you to access the full Settings page. Here, you can adjust display settings, toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius for temperature readings, view current sensor status, and access a range of other settings. This is also where you can access Advanced Settings. When you tap Advanced Settings, you are prompted for a valid user code. By entering your Master Code (1234 by default) or Installer Code (1111 by default), you can access additional programming options.
• Messages Alerts: This button takes you to the Message Center. You can also access this screen by tapping the envelope icon in the top right corner of the main screen. Here, you can see and acknowledge alerts and alarms, view messages from your alarm dealer, access video tutorials for the IQ5 Hub, and see contact information for your alarm dealer.
• Photo Frame: Tapping this button allows you to set up and edit the photos included in your photo frame screen saver settings.
• Clean Screen: Tapping this icon disables the touchscreen for 30 seconds so you can wipe the display without triggering accidental system input.
• Language Toggle: Use the language button to toggle between English and Español. This changes both the system text and voice prompts.
