How Do I Open the Settings Tray on the Qolsys IQ5 Hub Panel?

To open the settings tray on the Qolsys IQ5 Hub, swipe down from the top of the touchscreen. The settings tray appears with quick access controls for volume, brightness, WIFI status, and more. This tray provides convenient shortcuts without navigating through the full settings menu screens.

Opening the Settings Tray

  1. Swipe down from the top of the IQ5 Hub touchscreen. Place your finger at the very top edge of the screen where the time and date are displayed, then drag downward. The settings tray slides into view from the top of the screen.
  2. View the expanded settings tray. The tray displays status icons for battery, WIFI, Bluetooth, and cellular connection at the top. Below these icons you will find sliders for volume and brightness adjustment along with quick access buttons.

Settings Tray Features

The settings tray on the IQ5 Hub includes several useful controls. The Volume slider adjusts the panel voice and chime volume. The Brightness slider controls screen brightness for comfortable viewing. Touch the Settings button to access the full Settings page where you can reach Advanced Settings by entering your Master Code (1234 by default) or Installer Code (1111 by default). The Clean Screen button disables the touchscreen for 30 seconds so you can wipe the display without triggering accidental touches.

Additional Tray Options

The settings tray also provides access to the Message Center where you can view alerts, contact your monitoring provider, and watch video tutorials. The Photo Frame button lets you customize the panel screensaver with your own photos. A Language button allows you to change the panel language. The Security Status icon in the upper corner shows your current armed state and returns you to the main security page. To close the tray, simply swipe up from the bottom of the tray or touch anywhere outside the tray area.
