Does the L7000 have a compatible Touch Screen Keypad?

The Honeywell Lynx Touch L7000 does not support a graphical touch screen additional keypad. It does support the 5828,a wireless English fixed Honeywell keypad, 5828V, a wireless talking English fixed Honeywell keypad and the 5827, a wireless hand held keypad.

Both the 5828 and the 5828V are easy to install - take a look at Sterling as he demonstrates and talks you through step by step on how to install a 5828V keypad.

The 5828 and 5828V keypads are wireless and can run on battery power using 3 AA batteries. If the 5828 and 5828V keypads are being run by batteries, after 15 minutes of no activity, the keypad will “go to sleep”. This is due to a battery-saving mode. To “wake up” the keypad, press and hold the star (*) key. If the keypad is in sleep mode and someone enters the home, the system will not sound the delay audible beeps a reminder to disarm the system, without the reminder it’s very easy to trip the system. For this reason we suggest the keypad be wired with a Honeywell transformer K0991.

Other great options to arm/disarm the Lynx Touch L7000 are Honeywell's’ wireless keyfobs. Just to name a few 5834-2, a two (2) button keyfob, 5834-4, a four (4) button keyfob, and 5834-EN, an enhanced four (4) button keyfob, Honeywell has a variety of wireless panic pendants and keyfobs.

The Honeywell Lynx Touch L7000 has a 7” color graphic touchscreen which is easy to read. Video can be viewed right from the touchscreen if paired with Honeywell IP cameras.

Yes, there's no limit to the number of 5828 (or 5828V) wireless keypads that can be paired to a LYNX Touch system. As long as the keypad has the right programming to match the system's programming, it should work.
