What Does A CDMAV-A-GC3 Do For An 2GIG GC3?
The CSMAV-A-GC3 is the compatible Verizon cellular communicator for the 2GIG GC3 control system. There is also the 2GIG 3GA-A-GC3, AT&T’s cellular communicator and 2GIG 3GR-A-GC3 Rogers communicator for Canada customers.
Pairing the GSMAV-A-GC3 with the 2GIG GC3 control panel provides communication between the control panel and Alarm.com. Alarm.com forwards signals to a central monitoring station and the user will receive notifications on any alarm signal or event via email and or text message.
The 2GIG GC3 has a built in WIFI module but Alarm.com requires a cellular communicator for communication. Alarm.com requires this as they feel it’s the most reliable path of communication. If the user loses internet for any reason, communication via WIFI for the alarm panel will be lost. Installing a cell communicator is dedicated for the alarm panel and very secure and will continue to send signals if the internet connection is lost.
.Central monitoring stations have trained operators 24/7 to monitor real-time alarm signals received and will contact the user and dispatch authorities if needed.
Users can also set up non-emergency alerts which are sent to Alarm.com via the GSMAV-A-GC3 and receive notifications on these alerts via email and or text message. For example, you may choose to get an alert when the front door opens between certain times so you know your child returned home from school. Users can also receive notifications if the system doesn’t get armed and the user has left the home.
Alarm.com not only will email and or text notifications on any alarm signal and event but users can control the alarm system, home automation and video surveillance from any computer, smartphone and ios device.
