What Is Compatible w/ the Honeywell L5210?

There are many devices and applications that are compatible with the Honeywell L5210. The system is readily compatible with many security sensors, and it can control Z-Wave devices with a Z-Wave controller add-on. Additionally, the panel is fully compatible with the Total Connect service.

First and foremost, for a complete list of any device offered by Alarm Grid that is compatible with the L5210, the L5210 Compatibility Page is by far the best resource. We strongly encourage anyone to check out this page in order to determine if a sensor or add-on is compatible with a Honeywell Lynx Touch L5210.

In terms of sensor compatibility, any wireless sensor that operates at a frequency of 345 MHz is compatible with the L5210. This includes any wireless Honeywell 5800 Series Sensor, as well as any wireless 2GIG Sensor. These two lineups alone make the L5210 compatible with hundreds of devices. There are a plethora of options for wireless motions, door and window contacts, glass breaks, smoke and heat detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.

To get the most out of a Honeywell L5210, a network communicator will need to be added. We recommend adding a cellular communicator to an L5210. This is because cellular connectivity is the most reliable communication path possible for a security system. A great cellular communicator that is compatible with the L5210 is the Honeywell GSMVLP5-4G. This is a 4G cellular communicator that will provide cellular service for the system for many years to come. It can also be used alongside a Honeywell L5100-WIFI for a dual-path communication setup.

The L5210 is also compatible with Z-Wave devices. However, the compatible Z-Wave controller will need to be added to the system first. This is the L5100-ZWAVE. After the L5100-ZWAVE has been added, the L5210 can be used to control Z-Wave devices. By setting up rules and scenes on the L5210, it is possible to have Z-Wave devices activate automatically based upon pre-determined system events. For example, a user might have their Z-Wave lights and their Z-Wave thermostat activate whenever their L5210 panel has been disarmed.

Finally, the L5210 is compatible with Honeywell's Total Connect service. This interactive service platform provides users with greater control over their security system. A user can access Total Connect in order to arm and disarm their system, check the current status of any sensors, and operate Z-Wave devices. All of these actions can also be done remotely using the Total Connect mobile app on any Android or iOS device.
