How Do I Pair an IPCAM-WO to My Honeywell L7000?

You can pair an IPCAM-WO to your Honeywell L7000 by first getting the camera connected with Total Connect 2.0. This must be done by your alarm monitoring company. The Honeywell L7000 will detect the camera as long as it is on the same WIFI network. That requires a Honeywell L5100-WIFI Card.

Live streaming for Total Connect Cameras on a Honeywell LYNX Touch Panel is only possible when using a legacy Total Connect Camera. It will not work with the newer Honeywell HD Cameras. Those cameras can only be viewed from Total Connect 2.0. But since the Honeywell IPCAM-WO is a legacy camera, it can be streamed from an L7000.

The steps below assume that the IPCAM-WO is already powered on and connected to the network using a WIFI or ethernet connection. If you need to get your camera connected to the network, you can check this helpful FAQ. These steps also assume that the Honeywell L7000 already has an L5100-WIFI Module installed and that has successfully connected with a local WIFI network. If you need help getting your L7000 connected to WIFI, please review this FAQ. Remember, the IPCAM-WO and the Honeywell L7000 must be on the same IP network for the process to work.

Complete the following steps to pair an IPCAM-WO to your Honeywell L7000:

1. Activate the camera. Since the IPCAM-WO is a legacy camera, you cannot pair it with the AlarmNet Servers yourself. Only your alarm monitoring company can do that. You must provide them with the 12-character MAC address found on the back of the camera. Your monitoring company should be able to get the camera activated, as long as it is connected to the network. If you do not have alarm monitoring service, please check out the great plans from Alarm Grid.

2. Pair to L7000. Start from the main screen of your Honeywell L7000. Choose Video. Then choose Scan in the lower-right corner. The panel should find the camera. You can then click on the camera to pair it. Remember, the camera and the panel must be on the same IP network.

3. Confirm the pairing. After pairing, the L7000 should show the live video feed for the IPCAM-WO on the screen. This confirms that the panel and camera were paired successfully.

Note: The Total Connect 2.0 Legacy IP Cameras can only be used if they were online at the time when Resideo pushed down an OTA update to make them compatible with an updated TC2 platform. Any legacy camera that was not online to receive this update can no longer be used. You must be very careful when purchasing used legacy TC2 IP Cameras, as many people will try to pass off bricked models on unsuspecting buyers. Please read this FAQ for more information.
