Which Panels Are Compatible With The GSMX4G?

The GSMX4G is compatible with the Honeywell Vista series hardwired control panel. The GSMX4G is also compatible with the Lynx Plus (L3000) control panel when paired with a LYNXGSMEXTCB.

The LYNXGSMEXTCB is a 2ft cable that has a 4 pin connector for interconnection with the Lynx Plus (L3000) control panel. Two of these are required for connection between the GSMX4G and the Lynx Plus (L3000) panel.

The Lynx Plus control panel is a wireless self contained panel that supports 1 hardwired zone and up to 40 wireless zones.

The Vista series control panels vary in features, here are only a few from the Honeywell Vista series:

The Vista-10P supports a total of 30 zones. Six on board hardwired zones, 16 wireless expansion zones, and 8 key fob zones.

The Vista-15P supports a total of 32 zones plus 8 key fob zones. Six on board hardwired zones, up to 16 hardwired expansion zones and up to 26 wireless expansion zones.

The Vista 20P supports a total of 48 zones, plus 16 key fob zones. Eight on board hardwired zones and up to 40 hardwired expansion zones, up to 40 wireless expansion zones and 16 key fob zones.

The Vista 21iP supports a total of 48 zones plus 16 key fob zones. Eight on board hardwired zones and up to 40 hardwired expansion zones, up to 40 wireless expansion zones and 16 key fob zones.

The Vista 128BPT supports a total of 128 zones. Nine on board hardwired zones and up to 127 wireless expansion zones, and up to 119 VPlex wired expansion zones.

The Vista 250BPT (commercial panel) support a total of 250 zones. Nine on board hardwired zones and up to 241 VPlex hardwired expansion zones and up to 249 wireless expansion zones.

The Lynx Plus, Vista-15P, Vista-20P, Vista-21iP, Vista-128BPT and the Vista-250BPT when paired with the GSMX4G are compatible with Total Connect 2.0. Even with the GSMX4G, the Vista-10P is not compatible with Total Connect 2.0 The Vista P Series alarm panel does need to be a revision of 9.12 or higher to communicate with Total Connect 2.0. If the revision is lower then 9.12, users would need the GSMX4G-TC2 which includes a prom chip for the Vista 15P or Vista 20P panel only.

Total Connect 2.0 allows users to control a Honeywell alarm system, home automation and video surveillance from any computer, smart phone and iOS device. Users will receive notifications via email and or text message on any alarm signal and event, when enabled.
