Honeywell L5100PK-5811

The Honeywell L5100PK-5811 is an L5100 LYNX Touch wireless home security system that includes three of the nicer looking Honeywell 5811 door / window contacts instead of the bigger 5816 sensors that come with the more traditional L5100PK security system. In addition to the 5811 sensors, the L5100PK-5811 kit also includes the LYNX 5100 wireless control panel, a 5800PIR-RES wireless motion detector and a 5834-4 wireless four button key fob.

While the 5811 contacts are smaller and have a flatter profile than the 5816 contacts, they do lack the ability to connect to a wired loop. Therefore, if you have existing wired contact loops that you would need to connect to a wireless sensor, you may want to choose the L5100PK security system kit instead. The 5816 contacts that come in the L5100PK kit can be used as wireless sensors or they can be connected to a wired loop and just act as a wireless transmitter to send the alarm signal from the wired contact back to the wireless L5100 control panel. If you are going to be using all wireless sensors and you don’t have any wired loops, then the L5100PK-5811 is the perfect security system kit to start out with as the 5811 sensors boast the best range of the more aesthetically pleasing Honeywell wireless door and window sensors.

If you have a larger property that requires more door and window sensors, you can simply add on additional 5811 sensors. If you want monitoring services for your LYNX Touch, you have many different options. You can hook up a regular phone line if you’d like traditional central station monitoring. You can also add an internet or cellular alarm communicator if you wanted Honeywell’s interactive Total Connect service. The L5100-WIFI is a wireless internet communicator and the ILP5 is a hardwired internet communicator. If you choose the L5100-WIFI, you can pair it with the GSMVLP5-4G cellular communicator or you can just use the cellular communicator by itself.
