Yes and No. Total Connect 2.0 is not compatible with landlines but there are a several options available that enable a Honeywell alarm control panel to connect to Total Connect 2.0.

Having a Total Connect 2.0 account allows users to remotely control an alarm system, home automation and video surveillance from a smartphone, computer or ios device. Users will receive notifications via email and or text message on any real time alarm or event.

A Honeywell gsm cellular communicator, an internet communicator, a wifi module and dual communicators all provide the option to connect to Total Connect 2.0.

The Honeywell Vista series panels and Lynx Plus panel compatible cell communicator is the GSMV4G and the GSMX4G. The compatible internet communicator is the Honeywell 7847i. The dual path communicator is the iGSMV4G. The Lynx Plus control panel is also compatible with the GSMVLP4G.

The Lynx Touch L5200 and L7000's compatible gsm cell communicator is the GSMVLP5-4G and the Honeywell 3GL. The ILP5 is the compatible internet communicator and the L5100WiFi module is the wifi communicator.

Dual communication can be accomplished by installing both the L5100WiFi module and the GSMVLP5-4G or the Honeywell 3GL. The ILP5 internet communicator cannot be used with either of the gsm cell units as it connects to the same port.

Dual path provides the most secure method of communication. The first path will be internet / wifi and the gsm cell communicator is the backup. If for any reason the internet communication is lost, the gsm cell takes over and sends the signals.

A power supply for the modem or router is recommended if using internet communication only. If internet service is interrupted during a power outage and a power supply is not installed, signals being sent will fail for no internet available.
