Can you program Honeywell alarm panels from the keypad?
Honeywell alarm control panels can be programmed from the alarm keypad. While most keypads can be used, Alphanumeric keypads are recommended for programming, especially if you intend to use advanced features, or submenus, such as (*56) zone programming. Fixed English keypads, such as the Honeywell 6150 cannot provide the same level of feedback as alphanumeric keypads such as the 6160, and therefore you can make accidental changes to the programming of your alarm system, potentially compromising your security. You can enter programming mode on most Honeywell systems by pressing your four-digit installer code and then on your keypad.
