Description

The Honeywell Lyric AT&T-LTE 3-1 Kit comes with the Lyric Security System, a Honeywell LYRICLTE-A AT&T LTE Cellular Communicator, three (3) VERSA-2GIG Door/Window Sensors, one (1) Honeywell SiXPIR Motion Sensor, and a Honeywell LT-Cable. Everything you need for alarm monitoring is included!

Originally released in 2016, the Honeywell Lyric Controller remains one of the most popular and dependable wireless all-in-one security systems to this day. The system is known for its modern design with a seven-inch (7") touchscreen controller and an intuitive user interface (UI) that makes operating the alarm system an absolute breeze. With a 3-1 starter kit like this one, you will have the perfect setup for a smaller home or an apartment. The Lyric also offers great room for expansion, and you can always build upon the system later if you need to.

As a modern alarm system, the Lyric offers some outstanding security features to provide you and your family with the peace of mind that you deserve. The system has support for up to 128 wireless zones, and you can readily pair and enroll new sensors on your own, without needing to hire a professional installer. When choosing peripheral sensors for the Lyric, you can mix and match from the Honeywell SiX Series of encrypted sensors, the Honeywell 5800 Series (uni-directional sensors only), the 2GIG 345 MHz Series, and nearly any other uni-directional wireless sensor that operates at 345 MHz. The system communicates with the Resideo AlarmNet Servers once it has been activated for monitoring service. AlarmNet forwards outgoing system alerts to a central monitoring station and/or an end-user via text message and/or email, depending on the user's monitoring plan.

The system can also be set up for use with the Total Connect 2.0 interactive notification and automation platform, which a user can conveniently access remotely through a web browser or a mobile app on their phone or tablet. By accessing Total Connect 2.0, a user can arm/disarm, check system status, control programmed smart home automation devices, view the live feed for compatible TC2 IP Cameras where applicable, and more. One very important thing to mention in regard to Total Connect 2.0 though is that setting the system up with the service will eliminate the user's ability to program local Lyric smart scenes. This is the case even if the user's TC2 plan doesn't actually come with automation. The only real workaround is to prepare the scenes before activating the TC2 account. This includes programming all of the necessary Z-Wave devices and creating the scenes prior to activating your TC2 service. But do keep in mind that if your monitoring plan includes automation services for TC2, then although you lose the ability to create and edit scenes locally, you gain the ability to create and edit smart scenes remotely from within the TC2 platform.

With the Lyric System's integrated WIFI and the inclusion of the added AT&T LTE Cellular Communicator, this is a dual-path system kit. The reason why this is important is that it means the system will stay monitored even if one path goes down and temporarily becomes unavailable. Internet outages are still relatively common, so having that cellular backup can be crucial in certain situations. Just remember that you will need a monitoring plan that includes cellular service, such as an Alarm Grid Gold or Platinum Level Plan. And when you go to connect the Lyric System to your local WIFI, keep in mind that only 2.4 GHz networks can be used.

The reason this is labeled as a 3-1 system kit is because it includes three (3) door and window sensors, and one (1) motion detection sensor. This makes the kit good for a location where relatively few sensors are needed, such as a small home or an apartment. Starting with the door/window sensors, these are third-party VERSA-2GIG Sensors. They offer a super sleek and thin design, making them virtually invisible when installed on a flat white surface. Like most door and window contacts, they are extremely easy to use. Mount the included magnet on the moving portion of the door or window, and the sensor itself on the stationary frame. Opening the door or window causes the magnet to separate from the sensor, which then tells the sensor to alert the system.

Meanwhile, the motion sensor is an encrypted Honeywell SiXPIR Motion Detector. This device looks for the changes in infrared (IR) energy that occur when a person walks past its field of view within the coverage area. For best results, the sensor should be mounted at a height of 7.5 feet, which will result in a coverage area of 40 feet by 56 feet. The sensor can also be set up for pet immunity, as cats and dogs weighing less than 80 lbs can usually pass under the detection zone and avoid setting off the sensor. Just make sure to observe the mounting guidelines for pet immunity if you intend to use the feature.

The Lyric is also impressive when it comes to smart home automation functionality. The system serves as a Z-Wave controller, allowing you to add devices like smart lights, door locks, thermostats, and more. Z-Wave devices can be controlled locally at the panel and remotely through Total Connect 2.0. You can also include your Z-Wave devices with smart scenes for automatic operation. This is great for saving money on energy expenses. But remember, local scene programming will be lost once the Lyric is set up with Total Connect 2.0. Only remote scene creation will be possible, and that's only if your monitoring plan includes access to TC2 with automation. The Lyric is also one of the few alarm systems that offer integration with Apple HomeKit. This is great news if you are an iOS user who frequently takes advantage of the features and convenience that HomeKit provides. You can join the Lyric with your existing HomeKit network, or build a new network with the system included and create powerful HomeKit Automations to make your home smarter, and your life easier. This can include having your HomeKit devices activate automatically when certain events occur on the Lyric System, such as the system being armed/disarmed or going into alarm. One note though is that the Lyric System must be monitored to enable compatibility with Apple HomeKit.

Don't forget that this system kit also includes the Honeywell LT-Cable for easily connecting the Lyric with its included transformer. This convenient 8-foot cable uses a barrel connector, and you can easily disconnect it whenever you need to drop power from the Lyric System. The LT-Cable is a prepared cable, meaning you won't need to cut or strip any alarm wire to complete the setup. All you need is a screwdriver to get started using your brand-new Lyric Panel. No professional installer is needed, and you will be up and running in no time at all! All the equipment needed for mounting the system is included, just have some basic tools ready. Or if you don't feel like breaking out the toolkit, then consider buying the Honeywell LCP500-DK Lyric Controller Desk Stand. This sturdy, plastic stand will keep your Lyric System positioned upright on a desk or table, allowing you to use and enjoy operating the system on a daily basis.

Yes as long as chime and voice is enabled it will announce the zones names
Does this alarm system have the verbal enunciating when a door is open? IE: "Back door open" or "front door open?"
I have a pole barn I want to put a cellular self monitoring alarm system in. I am looking at the AT$T LTE 3-1 Kit. Can I get a siren with the kit and also it will need to operate at temperatures down to minus 35 degrees. Dave
Moving to new home and I want to use my Honeywell lyric LCP500. The house is wired for sensors and already has a DSC PC1616 preinstalled. What do I need in order to take over the DSC PC1616? If I can still use it with the LCP500 I'm fine with that too.
The Lyric has a built in WIFI communicator, if you're looking to get the panel monitored feel free to check out our plans here: https://www.alarmgrid.com/monitoring
How does this system get connected to the internet for monitoring? Do I need a "gateway" or does it connect directly to the monitoring?
Yes, that is correct!
Thanks, so I could use any of those 2GIG sensors you list on your site and they would be visible in HomeKit to trigger events in Automation while also used by Lyric for the alarm solution
You would have to buy new contacts that are Lyric compatible. They will definitely work with Homekit but would never have the ability to work with the Lyric
I have existing HomeKit Door and Window contact sensors from Elgato-Eve and other manufacturers. Will the Lyric work with them or do I need to buy new Contact sensors?
We are a DIY company but have many Videos and FAQs to get the system going: https://www.alarmgrid.com/faq/how-do-i-install-a-lyric-security-system Here is a link to our youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/AlarmGrid/search?query=Lyric
If I order this from here, will someone come to my house to set it up, or is it up up me?
Yes the Lyric is Compatible: https://www.alarmgrid.com/blog/honeywell-lyric-controller-finally-homekit-compatible
Does this system work with Apple Homekit?
Hi David, if you are monitored with us please email us at support@alarmgrid.com so we can look into this further.
I have a Lyric Honeywell Lyric AT&T-LTE 3-1 Kit system with remote keypad and all has been functional since the install in 2017. Just recently I'm getting a supervision 850 error on my main keypad. When looking at the zone I see 850 keypad. Unfortunately, that's all I can view and this error is not possible to clear. Any suggestions? Both keypad batteries were changed out a few days ago.
The Lyric does not integrate with landline. You can use IP communication and/or the Verizon communicator when it is available. Honeywell is planning on releasing it but not sure of ETA.
I am looking at upgrading my current lynx system that utilizes a land line to the lyric with a cellular connection. I live in a remote area and the only cell coverage is from verizon. Is there a version of the lyric that utilizes verizon that is not effected by the 2022 sunset plan?

What security cameras are compatible with this system, other than the honeywell ones listed on your website?
The system is not proprietary. You can go with any monitoring company as you wish. We do have non-contract monitoring plans though that you maybe interested in. You can find them on our monitoring page (https://www.alarmgrid.com/monitoring ).
I do eventually. Is this system propitiatory ?
You will want to make sure you have a back up battery for the 5800C2W as well. We usually recommend the Ultratech 1240. Other than that though you should be good. Do you plan on getting it monitored as well?
I want to use this kit for my new house that is pre-wired. I know I will have to purchase the wired to wireless conversion kit(5800C2W), Is there anything else that I would need ?
Yes you can have multiple glass break sensors with this system, I'll be including a link to the installation guide: https://www.alarmgrid.com/documents/honeywell-lyric-install-guide
Can I add multiple glass break detectors to this system? Also, where is the installation guide? I'd like to review it before purchasing.
We don't include the signage with the equipment but we do ship them for free once you've activated one of our no-contract monitoring plans available online at https://www.alarmgrid.com/monitoring. If you don't plan to have your system monitored, you can also purchase signs and stickers online at https://www.alarmgrid.com/browse/security-signs.
Does this comes with Out door security sign and door sticker ?
