Honeywell Tuxedo Touch Software Revision 5.3.21.0 Is Here!

We have received news from Honeywell that Tuxedo Touch Software Revision 5.3.21.0 is now available. This represents the latest firmware version for the Honeywell Tuxedo Touch WIFI Keypad that is used with Honeywell VISTA Systems. The update provides support for two additional Z-Wave devices.

The latest device firmware version of 5.3.21.0 is recommended if you plan to integrate either of these Z-Wave smart home devices with a Honeywell Tuxedo Touch Keypad.

We've previously blogged about the Honeywell T6 Z-Wave Thermostat. This Z-Wave Plus thermostat provides great innovation with its ability to be used without receiving common power from a C-wire. Instead, the device can run reliably and consistently using battery power. This makes it incredibly easy to install for DIY users. The device will work with a multitude of Z-Wave controllers. And now it is compatible with the Tuxedo Touch Keypad as well. We are particularly excited about this addition, as we believe that it is the finest Z-Wave thermostat available on the market today.

not sure what you mean cyber security reasons, did they have some update version and the took them off, confused the TUXW AND TUXWIFIW ARE EXACTLY alike execpt for wifi capabilitys. please explainf thanks.

Hello NJP. Yes, All versions of the Tuxwifi include the slideshow feature, It is also included in the new Tuxedow released and available on our site https://www.alarmgrid.com/products/resideo-tuxedo.
Hi - Confirming that this update (v5.3.21.0) for the Tuxedo Touch 6280-WiFi (TUXWIFIW) still contains the Photo Slideshow feature? (I may be wrong, but I thought I had read this feature was removed from the Tuxedo Touch WiFi a while back for security reasons...wanted to be sure this feature is either working again or still working?) -- xpost (will update the applicable thread as soon as I learn the answer from this or the other thread) Thx in advance! -P
Hi Bullard, the FAQ linked to the Firmware Download page tells you that you cannot update the Firmware on a non-WIFI model. 3rd Paragraph: https://www.alarmgrid.com/faq/how-do-i-update-my-tuxedo-touchs-firmware Again, if you are a monitored customer with Alarm Grid, send an email to support@alarmgrid.com. We'll verify exactly what you have and see if we can get the appropriate firmware for your product.
Aja Is there any way you can help with the firmware? I followed the advice and firmware given from this article on AlarmGrid and now my Tuxedo Touch (TUXW) is not functional for several months. The article did not mention this firmware only works with WIFi version of the Tuxedo Touch. All I need is a link to working firmware. Or a zip file. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you for the reply. I bought the unit on Amazon and use it with a Honeywell Vista panel. There is no monitoring company. Is there any place to get firmware revisions? Just need to get this firmware off and back to any version that works on a TUXW (not Wifi).

I used this firmware on my TUXW before I read your comment. Where can I find the older firmware to get my system back working?
What about older firmware versions? I upgraded to this firmware on a Tuxedo Touch TUXW (not wifi) and that was a mistake. It took the firmware and the keypad works but won't connect to the panel. Need to go back to any firmware that works on a TUXW or TUXS. Unfortunately Honeywell only allows technicians access to the software on their site.

Hi Tron, We aren't sure why Honeywell stopped posting the Tuxedo firmware updates on http://www.tuxedotouchtoolkit.com/. They made a vague mention of "cyber security reasons" and it is available for alarm dealers on the internal Honeywell website still. Also, to make it easier for people to update their Tux, we now host the updates at https://www.alarmgrid.com/downloads/tuxedo-touch-firmware-updates. Are you interested in monitoring services? Download not available. and cant find this firmware on any Honeywell web site. Their site claims 5.3.9.0 is latest(2016)
Are you sure you have the Tuxedo Touch WIFI? The model number is listed on the backside of the Tuxedo. If you slightly press the tuxedo toward the wall and slide it up it should come off the backplate. TUXW is the ethernet version and will not support this firmware. Let me know if yours says TUXWIFIW...Then we can troubleshoot from there.
Followed instructions but won’t install from 5.3.9
