Which Systems Can Alarm Grid Take Over?

Alarm Grid is happy to support any alarm system that we can properly take over. As long as the system has a communicator that we can support, our company will monitor it. By taking over the system, the user can save a significant amount of money by not having to replace it with a new one.

Of course, some panels are easier for us to take over than others. For some systems, it will be necessary to know the panel's Installer Code (IC) or Master Code (MC). Depending on the system, the user may need to replace the panel's communicator with a new one. Finally, the user may need to upgrade the panel's firmware version in order to use all of its possible features.

Please note that the table below is not an exhaustive list. There may be other panels that Alarm Grid can potentially take over. If you ever have any further questions about what panels we can take over, we encourage you to contact our planner team at support@alarmgrid.com.

Important Notes:

  • When a dual-path communicator is used, any plan that includes cellular communication also automatically includes IP communication without any additional charges.
  • Any panel that supports a POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) phone line can be used with a TG-1 Express, TG-7-A, TG-7-V, or an LTEM-PA, LTEM-PV, LTEM-PIA, or LTEM-PIV Communicator with the PRODCM installed as long as the panel can support Contact ID reporting format. Any future AlarmNet Communicator that supports the PRODCM will also work in this scenario.
  • The Resideo and Honeywell Home dual-path communicators may be able to be used with IP only, for reduced monthly monitoring charges. That is never the case for dual-path Alarm.com communicators.
  • Any communicator that has been used for monitoring with another company should be released by that company prior to activating with Alarm Grid. There are some cases, particularly with the Resideo or Honeywell Home All-in-One panels where we can work around this, but that is not the case with any of the Alarm.com communicators. They must always be released or replaced.
  • On Honeywell LynxTouch All-in-One panels, the ILP5 and the Cellular Module are installed in the same spot. This means that either an ILP5 or a Cellular Communicator can be used, but not both. The L5100-WIFI can be used along with a Cellular Communicator.
